Project Description

Tessellae Celebration is a ceramic wall piece, consisting of 9 porcelain tessellae, or small tiles. Each one is about 3 cms square and colourfully glazed and set with molten glass. The whole piece is arranged in a box frame 25 x 25 cms. It is designed to be displayed alone or in a grouping of several pieces. It is inspired by the small tiles produced by the Romans, and it celebrates Springtime and the renewal of vivid flowers and insects. It was displayed as part of the Barnstaple Arts Festival at the Barnstaple Museum. It is available for sale. Please get in touch with me through this website if you are interested, or if you have any enquiries, or a commission that you may have in mind.
